A short session, but productive

Guitar

I had another run through some of the songs today, using the riff-repeater to practice parts of the songs that have been causing me difficulties (I'm not going to pretend that I have fully got to grips with the notes though).

The songs were: Angela, House of the Rising Sun and I Want Some more.

I got the solo in I Want Some More to 100%, but there are other areas in the song that need attention. I'm going to try putting the score together to see if that helps.

The solo for Angela also got worked on and went from 54% accuracy to 90% accuracy with a corresponding improvement in the overall song score. I'm thinking about attempting recording this and putting it together with the Bass version, but I'll need to work on a drum machine track to fill it out a bit.

Much happier with my playing today, although I have only played the bass versions a couple of times in total each.

I was very happy with my attempt at Angela, I have maxed out each of the sections and also earned over 100,000 points while playing it. This should mean that I can play it without the notes on screen - but as I've only played the bass version twice, this might take some time. I have created a tab version to help me learn the song - I think I've only got one mistake in it at the moment (I think there is a hammer off on the Rocksmith version of the song that I missed).

Better results than I thought

I played better than I thought today, with half of the ten songs showing signs of improvements.

I've had a busy week socially - a night at a Buskers event (not singing or playing on stage though) and a water fight at Cubs - although they complained when I was boiling water. Apparently that's cheating!

I also unlocked a new tone (a Regal Delay) and the Bay Academy venue. That makes it three venues that I have got sets to practice for. I need more time to practice.
