Bass

Quite happy with how I played today. I have achieved the qualification scores for all of the songs on the current set. I achieved Master mode with Gobbledigook which means I can play in master mode - in other words without the notes appearing on screen.

I played 10 songs for 29 minutes. I have played for 14 hours 15 minutes in total with 9985 hours 44 minutes to go before I reach the point at which you are supposed to become an expert at an activity.

It has been 35 days since I have played all of the songs I have been practicing. It will take 3 hours 28 minutes to play through them all in one session.

Slight improvements made on Higher Ground, but I still haven't quite managed to reach the qualifier score of 90,000 points. More practice needed - and this is the only song that I've improved on today.

Slapping the Bass

Very pleased with todays session. I started by attempting the Slap and Pop technique. I'm not quite sure if I can explain it, I'm going to have to have another watch of the tutorial again. Slapping the guitar is striking the string with your thumb. Popping is pulling on the string and muting with a twist of the wrist. I think.

I attempted Burnished. Higher Ground, Jules and Run Back To Your Side as a set and played well enough to get a double encore. The encore songs were Are You Gonna Go My Way and  Go With The Flow. I think the bass line for the latter is harder than the guitar version!

A few things unlocked today Avacado Emporium tone, Auto Detune tone and the Space Ostrich song.

 

The new set is at the Pacific Gardens with Islands, Next Girl, Vasoline, I Miss You, Chimney and Space Ostrich. Islands is the only one that I need to qualify with now. I would have given it a try today, as my best score so far is only 6000 points away from qualifying, but I was getting tired.

International Support Act

If only the real life was like computer gaming: the thought that I'm an International Support Act does make me giggle slightly.

I played both the sets I had qualified songs with, and gained an encore with each of them.  The encores were with I Got Mine and Richochet. I also played through the songs on the new set, and qualified for all of them first time.

I gained a new level on the game International Support Act, and unlocked a Gibson RD Bass, the How Swell and Tone Conjurer tones and also the two tutorials: Tremelos and Slap & Pop.

I played 13 songs for 55 minutes. I have played for 12 hours 38 minutes in total with 9987 hours 21 minutes to go before I reach the point at which you are supposed to become an expert at an activity.

It has been 25 days since I have played all of the songs I have been practicing. It will take 3 hours 23 minutes to play through them all in one session.
