On the original Rocksmith I played 5 songs for around 21 minutes of actual music playing and around 50 minutes of wall-clock time.

I had another run at the Riff Repeater for Jules managing to increase my 'mastery' from 73% to 86% over 25 attempts. The 86% level has some challenging slides that have been added.

I've played for a total of 90 hours 22 minutes with only 9909 hours 37 minutes to go until I hit 10,000 hours: the point where you are supposed to have mastered an activity.

I have reached 4,674,017 points now, I think the next level will be at 4,700,000 points.

A pick-dropping session

On the original Rocksmith I played 5 songs for around 21 minutes.

I played Go With The Flow first, and managed to drop my pick three times - I still managed to get just over 98000 points.

I started by using the Riff Repeater in Leveller mode on the verse to Jules. The leveller mode plays the section you are trying to learn 25 times. Each time you get the section correct it increases the difficulty until you can play the full section through.

I didn't make it today, but did get the verse from 46% to 73% difficulty level, failing at the 76% point.

Music lovers will be glad I'll not be practicing tomorrow night, as I will be busy at a scouting meeting then at a buskers night - listening I should hasten to add, not playing. The pub does need to keep it's customers after all.

Progress on some songs. Still over 9915 hours to go

On the original Rocksmith I played 14 songs for around 1 hours 2 minutes music wise and just over 90 minutes wall clock time.

I've played for a total of 84 hours 10 minutes with only 9915 hours 49 minutes to go until I hit 10,000 hours: the point where you are supposed to have mastered an activity.

I didn't play for as long as I was intending, mainly due to my wrist starting to ache.

I was curious what happens when you play a song using the performance option, the only differences are you get the audience in front of you and don't get the commentary on when you get an improvement.

With eight of the 11 unique songs played showing improvements (I played three of them twice) I am fairly pleased with the session, and enjoyed playing most of it.

If I get the enthusiasm after I finish a few chores today, I'm going to try hooking the hard disk recorder up to the playstation and see if I can record a song and get it onto youtube. Apparently videos longer than 10 minutes don't really get watched, so perhaps I shouldn't think about uploading an entire session at a time.
