A miserable Sunday

The weather here in the North East of England is poor at best, it's wet and we've suddenly been dropped into the normal weather for the time of year.

Although I wasn't happy with my playing today, and cut my planned session short, I have made improvements in five of the six songs I attempted. That's not how it was feeling when I was playing them though.

I have spent 480 hours 49 minutes playing on the Rocksmith games, in this session I played for 26 minutes.

I am learning 259 songs through the game, with 104 on the bass, 28 on rhythm guitar, and 127 on lead guitar (some I'm learning on all three).

It has been 132 days since I played all the song arrangements, and it would take around 923 hours to play them in one session. I don't think that is going to be likely!

Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana. I got 50% right. Overall I earned 43.0% beating my previous best.

My Own Summer by Deftones. I got 51% right. Overall I earned 45.8% beating my previous best.

Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold. I got 65% right. Overall I earned 44.8%.

Machinehead by Bush. I got 54% right. Overall I earned 32.5% beating my previous best.

Angela by Jarvis Cocker. I got 97% right. Overall I earned 105.7%.

This is the full list of songs that I have played on the two versions of the Rocksmith game.
The two versions of the game have different methods of calculating the scores. The original version just had the score, streak and percentage. In Rocksmith 2014 the score was dropped from the main results, and a mastery and an overall result was added.

The overall result can be over 100%, this occurs when a song is played in master mode. In Master mode, the game hides the notes you are expected to play, and you earn extra points for playing them correctly. When you manage to successfully play the song in master mode, you have learned the song and should be able to play the song alongside a band or backing track. Although playing alongside a band needs a lot of rehearsal time to sound good.
