Hoodwink

To hoodwink someone is to deceive by false appearances.

Again, a minute short of an hour mark in my practice. Very happy with my attempt at Blitzkrieg Bob, as I improved my overall playing a bit. I think tiredness is the issue with holding the frets right.


I have spent 485 hours 59 minutes playing on the Rocksmith games, in this session I played for 24 minutes.

I am learning 259 songs through the game, with 104 on the bass, 28 on rhythm guitar, and 127 on lead guitar (some I'm learning on all three).

It has been 148 days since I played all the song arrangements, and it would take around 923 hours to play them in one session. I don't think that is going to be likely!

Blitzkrieg Bop by Ramones. I got 98% right. Overall I earned 108.1% beating my previous best.

Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand. I got 88% right. Overall I earned 99.0%.

Losing My Religion by REM. I got 53% right. Overall I earned 75.9%.

Paint It, Black by The Rolling Stones. I got 80% right. Overall I earned 86.2%.

Go With the Flow by Queens of the Stone Age. I got 87% right. Overall I earned 68.0%.

Boys Don't Cry by The Cure. I got 87% right. Overall I earned 96.5%.

This is the full list of songs that I have played on the two versions of the Rocksmith game.
The two versions of the game have different methods of calculating the scores. The original version just had the score, streak and percentage. In Rocksmith 2014 the score was dropped from the main results, and a mastery and an overall result was added.

The overall result can be over 100%, this occurs when a song is played in master mode. In Master mode, the game hides the notes you are expected to play, and you earn extra points for playing them correctly. When you manage to successfully play the song in master mode, you have learned the song and should be able to play the song alongside a band or backing track. Although playing alongside a band needs a lot of rehearsal time to sound good.
