Butternotes

A heavier session than recent ones. I had bits where I had an audience, I'd much prefer them to watch when I'm playing a song I'm more confident with and can play fairly well.

Good results overall from my playing, so I'm fairly happy (but could have happily played for another hour or so).

I've just passed 287 hours of practice on the guitar and bass now, with 203 arrangements of songs I'm slowly working my way round.


Butternotes: a term applied during the Civil War to Southern country people from their home-spun clothing.

Derived from the colour of their uniforms worn in the early part of the way by Confederate soldiers in the West which, being homespun, were dyed brown with the juice of teh butternut (Juglands cinerea)

Original Rocksmith Game

Between the Lines by Stone Temple Pilots earning 64358 points beating previous best score of 64035.

Panic Switch by Silversun Pickups earning 84928 points beating previous best score of 79826. I improved on my overall playing and gained 80% right.

Vasoline by Stone Temple Pilots earning 89848 points. I got a new best streak of notes right with 250 correct.

Breed by Nirvana earning 78254 points.

This is the full list of songs that I have played on the two versions of the Rocksmith game.
The two versions of the game have different methods of calculating the scores. The original version just had the score, streak and percentage. In Rocksmith 2014 the score was dropped from the main results, and a mastery and an overall result was added.

The overall result can be over 100%, this occurs when a song is played in master mode. In Master mode, the game hides the notes you are expected to play. When you manage to successfully play the song in master mode, you have learned the song and should be able to play the song alongside a band or backing track.
