The power chords at the start of Vasoline I find hard to fret: the bass strings are so heavy in comparison to an electric guitar. I should probably talk to Paul about options for the bass strings.
I love the bass line for The Spider and the Fly, but still find parts really challenging to play.
The less we say about my playing of Angela the better. It's obvious that I haven't played it in too long!
Mini Games
The Rocksmith games also have mini games aimed at improving a particular skill.
Today I tried two of the mini games.
Big Swing Baseball
This game gets you to practice accurately playing notes and bends on the strings (it may do more, but I haven't got that far yet).
I was fairly pleased with my playing today, getting a new top score of 392,850 points, with 5 home runs. I'm laughing at my mis-key of points and leaving the 'o' out. That would be a fair few hangovers worth of beer!
Harmonically Challenged
This mini game gets you to practice playing harmonic notes, by giving you a pattern of string and frets to play the harmonics over. If you get the sequence right, you defuse the bomb. Otherwise, boom!
I had a few attempts, with my worst earning 0 points (with a "oh, so that's what the game involves) and my best getting to #9 on the leader board with 167,170 points. I find remembering the pattern difficult, but never was good at memory games like that.

This is the full list of songs that I have played on the two versions of the Rocksmith game.The two versions of the game have different methods of calculating the scores. The original version just had the score, streak and percentage. In Rocksmith 2014 the score was dropped from the main results, and a mastery and an overall result was added.
The overall result can be over 100%, this occurs when a song is played in master mode. In Master mode, the game hides the notes you are expected to play. When you manage to successfully play the song in master mode, you have learned the song and should be able to play the song alongside a band or backing track.
