Squantum

squantum: the name of a species of fun known to the Nantucket folks, which is thus described by the New York Mirror "A party of ladies and gentlemen go to one of the famous watering places of resort, where they fish, dig clams, talk, laugh, sing, dance, play, bathe, sail, eat, and have a general good time... Care is thrown to the wind, politics discarded, war ignored, pride humbled, stations leveled, wealth scorned, virtue exalted, and this is squantum.

I often think that the definitions are mainly based on the US dialects of English, not the real English language.

A mix up session between bass and lead tonight. I was starting to record, but my software wasn't co-operating. I think I need to spend some time having a look at alternatives (ideally free).

I have spent 336 hours 59 minutes playing on the Rocksmith games, in this session I played for 51 minutes.

I am learning 213 songs through the game, with 91 on the bass, 12 on rhythm guitar, and 110 on lead guitar. It has been 84 days since I played all the song arrangements, and it would take around 31 hours to play them in one session. I don't think that is going to be likely!

Go With the Flow by Queens of the Stone Age. I got 90% right. Overall I earned 35.3% beating my previous best.

Gobbledigook by Sigur Rós. I got 90% right. Overall I earned 73.6% beating my previous best.

House of the Rising Sun by The Animals. I got 93% right. Overall I earned 68.2% beating my previous best.

Where is My Mind? by Pixies. I got 93% right. Overall I earned 88.6% beating my previous best.

This is the full list of songs that I have played on the two versions of the Rocksmith game.
The two versions of the game have different methods of calculating the scores. The original version just had the score, streak and percentage. In Rocksmith 2014 the score was dropped from the main results, and a mastery and an overall result was added.

The overall result can be over 100%, this occurs when a song is played in master mode. In Master mode, the game hides the notes you are expected to play, and you earn extra points for playing them correctly. When you manage to successfully play the song in master mode, you have learned the song and should be able to play the song alongside a band or backing track. Although playing alongside a band needs a lot of rehearsal time to sound good.
