Sunday, Bloody Sunday

Today started with a set at on the original Rocksmith game with a set comprising of Jules, Ricochet, Use Somebody, and Where Is My Mind? I didn't play well enough to get an encore, unsurprising as I hadn't practised the songs as a set recently. I did unlock a new guitar in the game, a Vintage Gibson Firebird. The next set of songs on the original game are Surf Hell, Unnatural Selection, Number Thirteen, and Take Me Out.

Jules is a challenging song, I'd love to be able to play it well enough to perform, but I'm not sure if it is suitable for a buskers night - especially when played solo.

I have spent 332 hours 12 minutes playing on the Rocksmith games, in this session I played for 51 minutes. It has been 95 days since I played all the song arrangements, and it would take around 31 hours to play them in one session. I don't think that is going to be likely!

You might be wondering what the title of this post has to do with my playing, or events of today. The short and long answer is: absolutely nothing.

Between the Lines by Stone Temple Pilots. I scored 63.8% overall. I improved on my overall playing and gained 87% right.

The two versions of the game have different methods of calculating the scores. The original version just had the score, streak and percentage. In Rocksmith 2014 the score was dropped from the main results, and a mastery and an overall result was added.

The overall result can be over 100%, this occurs when a song is played in master mode. In Master mode, the game hides the notes you are expected to play. When you manage to successfully play the song in master mode, you have learned the song and should be able to play the song alongside a band or backing track.
