Higher Ground is frustrating me

I need to spend some time and get High Ground up to speed, it is the only song I need to get to the qualification score before I can attempt the next event on the Rocksmith game.

I played 10 songs for 34 minutes. I have played for 125 hours 59 minutes in total with 9874 hours to go before I reach the point at which you are supposed to become an expert at an activity.

It has been 55 days since I have played all of the songs I have been practicing. It will take 3 hours 20 minutes to play through them all in one session.
